The rumour is true, Nintendo did indeed publish a completely rewritten version of Zelda’s Legend: Time flute at a direct-faced meeting yesterday night (9 June 2026), and this confirmation will be released this year.
Premonitions begin with the classic monologues of Dekushi, with little information, except for the young Link. According to the premonition film, The Legend of Zelda: A Reprint of Time does not follow the full symmetrical style of ” The Passion of the Desert ” and ” The Tears of the Kingdom ” , but uses a whole new art style independent of the past, more modern, more qualitative and more detailed.
Nintendo says: “N64 classics will return in 2026 and will land on the Switch 2!” as the “highest mountain” in the history of the game. This re-edited version is not only to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the Zelda Legends series, but it is to be seen as an entirely new change after the original N64 in 1998 and the 3DS in 2011.
Nintendo used the term “Reborn” to describe the Times Flute Reprint. It is alleged that the Monolith Soft studio, developed by Nintendo in collaboration, has been rebuilt from scratch since 2022, with a similar size and objective as Fantasy 7: Reform.
The legend of Zelda: The Flute of Time, which has enjoyed almost mythical status in the game world since its inception, has been at the top of the best game in the history of the MC station for nearly 30 years, and the first 40-point-sum myth in the history of the Japanese magazine Famion, which has been recognized by industry as the de facto cornerstone of modern 3D games.
In 1998, when the whole game industry had no idea how to make a 3D game, Time flute invented “Z-Targing” and perfected a mechanism for jumping, puzzle-solving and camera following in a 3D action game. This bottom-up logic is still being followed today in industry-wide action games.
The play unfolded around the flute of time, and the young Link took the sword out of the master’s sword and slept for seven years, travelling back and forth between “juvenile” and “young” to save Hailaro. This combination of the past and the future not only serves the drama, but also creates what seems to be an extremely hard-core and sophisticated time-space-explored puzzle.
At present, the re-edited version of the Zelda Legend: Time flute has not yet set a specific date for its sale, but Nintendo has indicated in its forecast that the game will be sold in 2026.
