In the month since Epic Games returned to the iOS platform, Fort Night has been downloaded 11.5 million times in App Store. Day-to-day installation peaked on 30 May, with more than 1.2 million hits and a new record of the game.
According to AppMagic, the number of downloads of Fortress Night on 31 May remained at over 1 million, falling back to six digits after June.
After years of law-sawing with Apple, Fortress Night returned to App Store globally on 19 May 2026, with rapid downloads exceeding millions. Its first week of return had been the fourth best in history since the top-line move, and downloads had reached their highest level since 2018.

A month after its return in 2026, the global download of Fort Night reached a new peak. The number of downloads during the second week was almost twice that of the first week, and close to 5 million between 26 May and 1 June. This was followed by 2.5 million downloads and 1.1 million downloads in the third and fourth weeks, respectively.
Prior to this, the Fortress Night was installed on App Store with a maximum of 764,000 times a day, an achievement reached on 18 March 2018 three days after the game went online. Since then, Fort Night has not been able to download more than 750,000 times a day until it returns to the mobile shop this year.
The number of downloads after the return of Fort Night was mainly driven by Saudi Arabia. That month, Fortress Night downloaded close to 2.9 million people on Saudi App Store, representing 25 per cent of the global total. Mexico ranked second in terms of nearly 2.3 million (20 per cent), while the United Kingdom contributed 733,000, or 6 per cent.
It is worth noting that the United States ranked fourth only on 629,000 downloads, mainly because Fortress Night had been back on board in App Store in 2025.

In terms of revenue collection, Fort Night has generated about $3.9 million since the global return. Of these, the United States market is most prominent, with US players spending $2.6 million on App Store in the first month of the global return. Japan followed closely with $198,000, while Mexico ranked third with $179,000.
Globally, player expenditure peaked at $208,000 on 12 June. This is well above $79,000 on the day the game returned on 19 May. This also means that App Store’s consumption peaked almost two weeks after downloading, which may indicate that new players remain keenly interested in the game.
Also noteworthy was the addition of new items to the game shop on 12 June and the introduction of the role of Pomni and Jax in the online series Wonder Digital circus. Earlier this year, Fort Night was also linked to Breaking the Star Dome under the Miha flag.
